We are Rósanna and Viðar. The guesthouse is our family business and is originally a school building for the children in the countryside. We are located in Steinsstaðir in Skagafjörður, one of the most peaceful countryside in Iceland. The house has been renovated and put in a new style with the arrival of a new owner. This wonderful building offers 16 rooms and a magnificent view of Mælifellshnjúkur to the south. Steinsstaðir has long been a popular destination for groups, e.g. family reunions, workplaces, friend meetings, etc. There is a large variety of entertainment nearby, e.g. river rafting, kayak trips, mountain trips on specially equipped cars, racetracks, horseback riding, etc. There is also a nice campsite in the garden of the guesthouse with electricity and showers. Steinsstaðir is a paradise for those who want to relax in the countryside.
